The Importance of Voting
Casting a ballot is significant in the movement of our general public, positive or negative, and our future. The straightforward demonstration of casting a ballot can change the whole United States of America. It can help in the positive or negative political development, making aligns with different nations, or basic things, for example, our privileges as the American residents. So as to cast a ballot, some political foundation ought to be available. This takes out the issue of deciding in favor of a specific ideological group based exclusively from others convictions. This information can be acquired from essential research, for example, articles, books, and confided in web sites. Numerous individuals choose to cast a ballot before they genuinely know who they are deciding in favor of. Some may not be instructed on legislative issues by any means. For me what makes it so significant is the changes, we the individuals reserve a privilege to cast a ballot. Like the second change the option to carry weapons there are some out there that need to remove that yet to me, I believe they're insane for demanding that reducing the utilization of guns dispose of some wrongdoing issues. Hoodlums will figure out how to get weapon, regardless of whether it is legitimate or not, this will just stop the well behaved residents from the option to convey. I accept that school can arrangement a framework to keep weapons out of schools. For me a gun is for chase and insurance, what they have been utilized for some ages. Our veterans had battled for our entitlement to decide in favor of what we have faith in. Individuals grumble on how things are going in this nation yet most don't cast a ballot so the reserve no privilege to gripe since they're doing whatever it takes not to decide in favor of what they accept that will improve things for we the individuals. To the extent political development is thought of, numerous individuals accept straight Republican or straight Democrat. At the point when somebody is chosen of an alternate ideological group, this makes a gap in our nation. During political race, when you take a gander at the surveys it is anything but difficult to see that specific regions are dominatingly one gathering. On the off chance that it boils down to it, only a couple of votes could change the result altogether. For instance, if your family is straight republican gathering, yet the vote based gathering is up in the political race, empowering your loved ones who share a typical convictions as you, can make a significant enormous change. On the other side of the range, in the event that you vote based exclusively off of what others accept, this could open the entryway for even a bigger measure of question between gatherings. By and by, I was against Hillary Clinton from the beginning because of the way that she sees herself as a Modern Democrat just as investigating the manner in which her better half ran our nation while in office. Donald Trump not exclusively is a Republican, he additionally has done numerous things to affect our economy in a positive manner. This is a case of getting data from confided in sources and deciding in favor of a gathering that I genuinely concur with. Another explanation that it is essential to cast a ballot is on the grounds that we should have the option to make associations with different nations. Our economy runs dependent on the exchange of merchandise and ventures to and from different nations. Having assets accessible that originate from China, Taiwan, and numerous different nations enables our economy to become more grounded. In any case, due to past electorates, we are far obligated to China, this is one thing that Trump is taking a shot at taking out. Being under water to different nations makes struggle which straightforwardly prompts war. Casting a ballot is important to run a nation and as a resident on the United States of America, I accept that it is my obligation to guarantee that I have decided in favor of the individual I accept will run our nation appropriately and adequately. To me, the most significant thing that I search for in a potential president is on the off chance that they have a typical political view as me, somebody who realizes how to make aligns with neighboring nations, and in particular, somebody who won't attempt to kill the supposed, unalienable rights, ensured to residents.

In Shakespeares Messina Essay Example For Students
In Shakespeares Messina Essay The perfect woman has the face of Angelina Jolie, the legs of Megan Fox, the breasts of Madonna and the IQ of Britney Spears, proof indeed that today’s man wants both sexual and emotional dominance over us women. However Shakespeare’s comedies give us hope that things can change, when we examine a strong woman such as Beatrice will at some point dress in men’s clothing as a sign of strength and equality in a male dominated world. But, more often than not, Beatrice uses merely her wit to protect herself, a far more effective weapon. We will write a custom essay on In Shakespeares Messina specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Within Beatrice and Bennedick’s merry war, we can see layer upon layer of manipulation and ulterior motives camouflaging their previous relationship. As a result of this seemingly disastrous encounter, both are now determined in their desire to dominate the other, neither willing to back down. In the Beatrice-Bennedick plot, Beatrice is arguably more important than her lover, not only because she’s sharper than he is, but also because she holds quite a few of the cards and it is Beatrice who evokes the many changes that Bennedick undergoes throughout the play. Then, once they have been tricked into admitting their love for each other, Bennedick is the one making advances, and Beatrice holds the option of accepting or rejecting him. It was traditional in the Renaissance to imagine that cuckolds had horns on their heads and Bennedick’s obsession with this image shows her fear that any woman he marries is surely to cheat on him. â€Å"Sensible†Benedick is a person far too intelligent to yield to the irrational ways of love. However, Benedick is the first to admit he is in love. It is Beatrice who holds her proclamations of love, refusing to commit to him and it is Beatrice, more than any character in this play, displays the realistic characteristics of a brilliant mind in love. She is afraid to show her vulnerability, she is scornful of being wimpy, lovesick fool, and it is these characteristics that make her hesitant to dive blindly into romance headfirst. Unlike Hero, who gives into over like an obedient girl , Beatrice is a wise and warm woman, who in some ways seems to have assumed the role of a man. Her fear of vulnerability, her hesitance to admit her love and her soul full of of pride and honour, unheard of and unbecoming in a woman, dominate her attitude towards Bennedick and her concept of love. While the audience may think that a woman has won the battle between the sexes, this is a rather naive and immature evaluation of the play because, while â€Å"Much Ado About Nothing†seems to reach a common resolution, visualised in multiple marriages and joyful exchanges, it is highly evident that honour still has an imminent place within Messina’s society. Bennedick’s, â€Å"Peace, I will stop your mouth†stops Beatrice’s speech with a dominant kiss, showing that his male honour is still at the very root of this relationship. Beatrice’s harrowing command to â€Å"Kill Claudio†is her attempt to defend and restore Hero’s honour and hides yet another layer of manipulation. Beatrice’s verbal ultimatum is not only an attack against Claudio, but the very essence of the entire brotherhood. Just as a man will protect another man’s honour, so only a woman will protect another woman’s honour. The search for equality between men and women is like a dog chasing its own tail because only a woman has the capability to love another woman in a complete and vulnerable way. Therefore, equality will always be out of reach and the very act of chasing it is costing us a great deal. It is the fundamental differences between men and women that are keeping the battle alive then, now and forevermore. Since men do not see women as worthy enough to bestow complete vulnerable love upon, perhaps Beatrice needed to forget about Benedick and instead engage in a union with Hero. Maybe only then could the battle find a compromised resolution.

Miniature World free essay sample
I have always loved swimming and more specifically, the ocean. Most of my childhood I spent going to the beach. I have been to many different beaches in California and even one in Oregon. Of all the beaches I have been to, there is one that stands out in my head. I think about it often and long to go there. The Oceanside Pier at Oceanside Beach, in Oceanside Ca. is my favorite place in the whole world, despite the fact that I have only been there a handful of times in my life. Most of the reason I love this beach more than the others has a lot to do with the pier. For anyone who has not had the privilege of visiting the Oceanside Pier, I greatly suggest they go and do it someday. I don’t remember the first time my parents took me to Oceanside Beach, but since then, our family averages about a yearly visit there. We will write a custom essay sample on Miniature World or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page If I was asked to sum up what I love most about this beach in one sentence, I would say this: Seeing human beings involving themselves so much with nature makes the world seem peaceful and simple, even for just a moment. Now let me take you on a journey. The few times I have visited the pier I have seen many things. To even get to Oceanside Beach, first go to downtown Oceanside. The beach is pretty hard to miss. Find a parking space. Get out of your car and enter the beach. I’m sure there are many entrances, but the only one I have ever been through is characterized by a huge stage, with bleachers for the audience. I have never seen a show there and the only people I have seen around the bleachers are the local high school boys who use the empty stage to jump off of on their skateboards. By now the smell of saltwater is very strong. There is a light breeze and the sun is warm. To the right of the stage are flights of stairs. Ascending these stairs will take you to a magical place- the Oceanside Pier! At the start of the pier, there are always some types of musicians, whether they are guitarists trying to make a buck for the bus ride to the next city, or a family of advanced violinists who simply wish to spread joy. That is one of my favorite parts of the pier. Being the music lover and fanatic that I am, I can truly appreciate music when I see people playing it, with smiles on their faces, eyes closed and feet tapping, instead of listening to it on a CD and trying to imagine how the artist felt when performing it. The next part of the pier is the pier itself. You know you are on the pier when you look down and see thick, plastic-looking, slabs of wood. These slabs are the basis of the whole pier. Every day, hundreds of people walk on them, dozens of children run on top of them and even a few wheels of various recreational vehicles roll over them. While one should appreciate the slabs, they can get pretty boring to look at. However, if you turn your attention from the ground to t he sides of the pier, the fence part that keeps millions of people from falling into the vicious, rhythmic waves below, there is a lot more to look at. On every piece of wood used to build the fence, there are names, names of individuals and families who donated money to help get the pier built back in†¦Ã¢â‚¬ ¦ Every time I visit the pier, I look at the names, knowing everyone of those people was a part of history. I think only some people can appreciate history like I do and I don’t know why some people do and some people don’t, but that’s just how it is. I do believe though, that it takes a strong belief and gratefulness of history to enjoy most of the pier. These engraved names stretch from the first plank of wood all the way to the very end of the pier. Along the way, there are looking glasses that act as binoculars. These machines cost a quarter for about one minute of looking time, but from them, one can see the ocean and see that it really does stret ch on as far as the eye can see. One can also see the waves and once in a while, seals, dolphins and fish are spotted. At the very end of the pier there is a sit-down restaurant where many tourists and locals alike, stop to eat. The whole pier smells of fish, but it is especially strong at the end of the pier. While all these aspects of the Oceanside Pier are wonderful things, my favorite, perhaps, is what makes these things possible. The Oceanside Pier is open to anyone and everyone who wishes to go there. In my opinion, the best part of the pier is the people who work on it, the people who enjoy it, and the people who involve themselves in it in any way whatsoever. Every day, local high school students rush there after school to bike, hang out with friends or link arms with their boyfriends and go on a slow, calm walk down the pier. Mothers and fathers jog there in the mornings, children play there, argue there, fall there, and get up again. Fishermen spend hours casting their lines over the fencing into the water below, and always pull something up. Biologists, teachers, parents and inquiring people peer into the binoculars, hoping to catch something. Some people stand next to each other and talk while others hold hands and walk. Curious children stand on tip-toes to see what a man has caught in his bucket and jump back in alarm when the fish inside flops. People from all over the world, of all different backg rounds and all different beliefs enjoy the same sunset, together. These people are the people who enjoy the pier. They are there because they want to be and no one has stopped them. To me, the Oceanside Pier illustrates what life is meant to be about- people uniting, working together and not arguing. Every time I visit the pier, it makes me think about the whole world, society, people and the things they do. I look at what’s going on at the pier and I dream of a world just like it. The great Pacific Ocean, the animals, the shellfish stuck on the wooden columns, the cool breeze from far beyond and the warm sun all are a part of the natural world. I think it’s an amazing thing when human beings can involve themselves with nature without totally corrupting what it is. If an alien came straight down from Mars and landed on the Oceanside Pier, he might be able to believe that Earth is a peaceful place. These are the reasons I love the Oceanside Pier. To me, it conveys what life is really about.

Dante as a humanist essays
Dante as a humanist essays Discuss Dante's early contribution to the Humanist era, focusing on his use of Virgil in Cantos I-IV and the use of the vernacular in the Divine Comedy. Dante Alighieri is not considered a Renaissance Humanist, however he is considered one of the three crowns of Florentine literature, alongside Petrarco and Boccaccio. Petrarco is reputed as being the fore-runner of Humanism, whereas Dante gave Florentine Italian to the people of Italy and was a key leader in making vulgar Italian an acceptable means of Literature and Rhetoric. Dante also studied and revered many poets and philosophers of antiquity and used them in the Divine Comedy. Virgil was in fact chosen by Dante to be his guide through the Inferno. He was also interested in reason and virtue and the development of the individual. For these reasons, Dante's style exhibits many precursors, if not aspects of later humanistic thought. In this essay, I will define Humanism and its qualities and I will discuss Dante as an ante-litteram Humanist, focusing on the language he uses in the Divine Comedy and his relationship with Virgil in the first four Cantos. It is my obligation to inform you, in the first place, that Dante was not a Humanist and belongs to the Late Medieval period in a class of his own as a moral and social philosopher, a Politician, a classical enthusiast, a Linguist and a Poet. The term Humanism derives from the Latin humanitas meaning the cultural values attained from a liberal education. Studia humanitatis, including language, literature, history and moral philosophy, was the name given to this kind of education and was studied in classical times. Petrarco was the principle fore-runner of the rebirth of humanitas, or Humanism as it came to be called and the term umanista was used in the 1400s to describe a professor or student of classical literature. The English wordhumanist? did not emerge until the 1500s. However, it was not until 1809, in Germany, tha...

A YouTube channel? Or maybe you even run your own website? If so, strongly consider providing the URL to it, if you are comfortable doing so. Here are some things you should keep in mind before you submit a URL: When you click on the link to a website, what do you notice first? Probably the interface and how user-friendly it is. If you are maintaining your own website, it will be of utmost importance to ensure that it is accessible. If your parents were handed a laptop with your website on the front screen, would they be able to navigate it? If you don’t think that you can confidently answer ‘yes’ to that question, it would be in your best interest to make updates to your website. For example, let’s say you are running a blog website on running. Instead of having all the different blogs and threads cluttered on one page, it would be helpful to organize them into several tabs or folders. For instance, categories could be Nutrition, Technique, Music, and Miscellaneous. Submit your essay and we’ll get back to you with helpful edits. If you maintain an account on YouTube or a blogging website, ask yourself if your content is appropriate and detailed. Would you be comfortable with your grandparents examining your online presence? Can someone who hasn’t met you glean aspects of your personality from your posts? For example, instead of writing ‘yes.’ as a response to a thread, you can back up your response with more detail. Write about that experience you had at the grocery store. Or maybe something interesting you learned from that Netflix show from the previous night. Of course, if you don’t have an online presence, that is perfectly acceptable; in fact, it’s why this essay prompt is optional! However, you should compensate for this with a strong Common Application essay . Make sure you detail your extracurricular activities so that admissions officers can understand how you contributed to each one, and build close relationships with your teachers so they can provide further insight into who you are as a person. Mackintosh was born on Oct. 17, 1946, in Enfield, Middlesex, England, to Ian Mackintosh, a Scottish timber merchant and jazz trumpeter, and Maltese-born Diana Tonna Mackintosh, who had been actor Nigel Patricks secretary when the couple met in Italy during World War II. Eight-year-old Mackintosh was taken to see a production of the musical Salad Days, after which he demanded to speak to the author, Julian Slade, who gave him a backstage tour and instilled in the boy a fascination with theatrical production. Mackintosh studied stage management at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London but left after one year. He became a stagehand at Londons Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, cleaning the auditorium after performances to earn extra money. His first West End presentation, a 1969 revival of Anything Goes, failed. ENTERAL NUTRITION Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
ENTERAL NUTRITION - Essay Example paper examines Weenen et al., (2014) research in relation to providing a systematic approach to achieving research prioritization in enteral nutrition. From the research conducted the results obtained were in relation to defining the disease areas that needed more attention, ranking importance of product characteristics of tube feeding and finally assessment of the involvement of KOLs in enteral nutrition (Fulbrook, Bongers & Albarran, 2007). Weenen et al., (2014) ranked three product characteristics and three disease areas that deserved more research attention by summarizing the overall scores by multiplying ranks for both products characteristics and disease areas. The results were seventeen qualitative interviews conducted, and seventy-seven questionnaires completed and returned, which was only thirty-five percent in proportions. The noted disease areas by Weenen et al., (2014) in oral nutritional supplements(ONS) and tube feeding with highest priorities are ONS, general malnutrition and geriatrics, composition and clinical evidence, taste from a KOL perspective and taste from a patient perspective. The paper by Weenen et al., (2014) is significant for the subject area in that it highlighted the involvement of KOLs in the identification of research priorities as they have ability to provide balanced view of the unmet patient needs. Weenen et al., (2014) stated that sixty-two percent of all KOLs gave advice to enteral nutrition companies on patient needs by influencing the setting of research priorities by enteral nutrition. This was a limitation of the quantitative research analysis undertaken on patient needs and enteral nutrition in the market. Additionally, there was a high discrepancy between product characteristic prioritization from a KOL and patient perspective. Fulbrook, Bongers & Albarran (2007) researched about European enteral nutrition and adult intensive care units and noted that so as to appropriately know the patients’ needs and enteral

Mental and Emotional Development Essay
Going to school marks a new horizon of a child’s life at a time when he/she thinks they are ready for the greater challenges. Children are curious about the use of letters and words to convey meaning, and have the manual dexterity to hold a pen or pencil and begin to write. Together reading and writing broadens the child’s experience enabling him/her to learn more about the world he/she lives in. Their mental ability allows him/her to understand the symbols of letters and numbers and by manipulating these new experiences develop. The vocabulary of a five year old should be 2000 words and with exposure to new ideas and other children this will rapidly increase. The English language, for example are hard to learn, children can use increasingly complex sentences and make fewer grammar errors as they progress through school. One of the key tasks involves in metal development at this age is logical and consistent thinking. The school aged child also learns to create more and more sophisticated classication systems, such as the characteristics of reptiles and mammals, or the differences between towns and cities. They often involve these new skills in their play such as playing cards. Relational concepts such as left and right are tackled during this phase of childhood, although this is difficult for the child to learn. When number skills are developing, concepts such as clock time can be introduced and also the use of money. The mental developments: Five year olds: 2,000 word vocabulary talks consistently, know primary colours; yellow, red and blue, can count to ten, names days of the week, asks for definitions. Six year olds: Learns to read with understanding, knows some streets in local neighbourhood, and knows difference between morning and afternoon. Seven year olds: Begins to show interest in cause and effect, knows the value of coins, gains satisfaction in conclusions and logical endings, understanding past, present and future time concepts. Eight years old: begins to understand logical reasoning and implications, aware of time, can begin to plan activities for a day, develops understanding of left and right, and appreciates degrees of concepts such as light and pain. Nine years old: Likes to have secrets, can break down difficult skills into manageable component parts, focuses on details. Ten years old: enjoys learning, likes to memorise, and identifies facts concrete and specific thinking. Eleven years old: likes action in learning, concentrates well when working, able to identify and discuss problems. Twelve years old: motivated more by inner drive then competition, able to classify, arrange and generalise; can be critical of own work. Emotional Development: During school years the child learns from the peer group and from friends. By comparing themselves with others in their class, children can adjust their behaviour to meet the society’s expectations. They can also gain more insight into themselves. They also learn to identify which situations require co-operation and which are more competitive. Emotions such as anger and aggression can be seen in a variety of expressions physical shoving and swearing. Many will be aware of the child’s enjoyment of jokes and use of humour. Schools can also provide the child with opportunities for self evaluation, developing self confidence and doubt. Being picked by other children to join a team game, or being sent to a remedial group for reading, will give the child messages about how others perceive them this can differ to the perceptions at home. It is important for those caring for children that they are aware of the attitudes of others and offer opportunities to the child to talk about this. Praise means a lot to a child of this age as it would to a lot of other people. Efforts should be made to recognise each child’s special attributes. Summary of Major Developments: For 5 to 11 year olds: 1. Decreasing dependence on family and developing relationships with other adults and children. 2. Becoming an active, contributing member of the family. 3. Learning how to deal with strong feelings appropriately. 4. Learning how to reason and solve problems logically. 5. Developing understandings of concepts such as number, time and money. 6. Adjusting to changing body image and coming to terms with sex role identity. Adolescence Mental and Emotional Development: Adolescence has been charactised as a time of storm and stress, but many adolescents make the transition from child to adult with relative ease and with little trauma either to themselves or to their parents. It is not surprising that, while their bodies are so rapidly changing, youngsters become quite preoccupied with them and wonder what they will become. Girls see their first period as a positive achievement towards adulthood or a dreadful event which signifies the end of childhood. Boys fear to speak as their voice breaks or they are delighted as their facial hair becomes obviously present. The attitudes displayed will often reflect the attitudes and values held by those close to them, the family or the peer group. Friendships with peers become increasingly close during adolescence as young person seeks acceptance and also friends with who to share the new feelings and experience. It is important that the adult determines the best way to cope with this. Each child is an individual, so the problem will have dealt with taking the child’s particular personality, needs etc into account. The older child also needs to think about their diet school children grow and develop rapidly and expend vast amount of energy. This calls for a diet which is high in protein, iron, calcium and essential vitamins. Studies have shown that there is a difference in the eating pattern between adults and children. Children tend to want to eat more frequently, at any time of the day and prefer foods which they can eat with their hands. Eating habits are established early in the childhood and in societies where television and advertising play a large part in family life it is difficult for parents and carers to insist that the child adheres in a healthy diet. Exercise: All children need to make sure they are getting enough exercise. It is important to encourage activities such as: swimming, walking and cycling. Children should also be encouraged to participate in exercises which they enjoy and which makes them feel good about themselves. They should also make sure that they get plenty of rest and sleep the amount of sleep differs from one person to the next. The amount of sleep for the average child is 8 to 10 hours sleep a night.

The Iridescence Of Art Art - 902 Words
The Iridescence of Art Although it seems obvious, an interesting fact about art that is frequently glanced over is that art is meant to be shared. An artist such as Damian Hirst didn’t put his great his artwork of the shark with its mouth open and suspended in a tank of formaldehyde in a dark room to let it collect dust. Rather he shares his piece and hopes â€Å"anyone will buy it.†Hirst’s eagerness to display his work stems from wanting to display the bond he had with his art. However, if a viewer were to have a different bond from examining the art, creating the art might seam fruitless because the artist will go through the trouble to share their connection when the viewer would see something different. It would be as if a child excitedly runs towards their parent to present their drawing of a cat and the parent says â€Å"Oh look at this great tree.†Hirst describes his art when he says, â€Å"A shark is frightening, bigger than you are, in an environment unknown to you. †His description of his own work demonstrates his experience he as the artist felt when he made the piece. He points out the danger of the shark and its power over humans with it being in its confortable domain. Hirst continues to describe his experience with his work as the shark looking â€Å"alive when it’s dead.†â€Å"You expect the shark to look back at you†Hirst says expecting life from the dead animal.
